A delegation of nine members of the Woman Officers' Association of the Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau (PSB) took a close look at how woman officers in the Force work on the frontline on December 5. The delegation members also exchanged police knowledge and experience with female officers from the Emergency Unit Kowloon West, Police Tactical Unit 'B' Company and Traffic Enforcement and Control of Kowloon West Region, as well as the Police Dog Unit of Airport District. The delegation visited Kowloon West Region as guests of the Emergency Unit Kowloon West. Headed by the Association chief, Madam Sun Yueli, the delegation was received by Kowloon West Deputy Regional Commander Chang Mo-see, as well as representatives from all the units meeting the delegation. The visitors were briefed on the roles and duties of woman police officers, which are no different from those of male officers. Static displays were used to introduce police vehicles, patrol equipment and uniforms, and several demonstrations were conducted, including searching for simulated explosives in luggage by a police dog and handling of a domestic violence scenario. The visitors showed a great interest in the latest model of Force motorcycle and the C91 Protective suits. When watching the firearms and equipment being used by EU KW officers, such as MP5 Sub-Machine Gun, Remington Shotgun and Ballistic Personal Protection Equipment, the visitors were impressed to see Hong Kong woman police officers carry the same equipment as male officers do. The visitors also noted that the Force's woman officers received a high level of training, which helps them meet the challenges of their daily work. On the conclusion of their visit, the delegation members treasured the opportunity to observe how Hong Kong woman police officers rise to the challenges of their duties.
