The Hong Kong Police Lawn Bowls Club Classic pair's team of Milo Lai Chan-wai (lead) and Eric Yim King-chun (skip) represented the Force in the Hong Kong International Bowls Classic 2006, competing against 10 international teams and 14 local teams. The competition, which started on December 11 at the Craigengower Cricket Club in Happy Valley, was played over seven days and consisted of 11 rounds followed by the Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals and Final. This event is considered to be amongst the top ten international competitions, attracting many overseas top bowlers.

Milo and Eric played extremely well and for the first time in the competition's 26-year history a Force team reached the Quarter-Finals when they played against the Kowloon Bowling Green Club pair of Heron Lau and Noel Kennedy and were narrowly defeated 15-13. In the lead up to the Quarter-Finals, the Police pair had won against teams from Singapore, the USA and Wales as well as local teams. They had also played against the final champions South Africa who took this year's title by edging out Ireland 18-13.

Milo and Eric's performance in the 2006 HK Classic is commendable and reflects the high standards of bowling excellence being achieved by Force lawn bowlers.
