Officers save nine lives at sea
Fifteen police officers were among the 21 public-spirited citizens presented with commendations by Director of Marine, Mr Roger Tupper on February 26 for saving lives at sea.
The officers rescued a total of nine persons in 2005 and 2006. They are Station Sergeant Lau Chiu-leung, Sergeant Li Ka-hong, Acting Sergeant Yau wai-man, and Police Constables Wong Hin-shing, Leung Kam-hing, Leung Yuen-ho, Cheung Kit-lung, Ng Hon-man, Tang Chun-yip, Choi Kin-choi, Ho Kin-shing, Lai Kwan-chau, Ip Kwong-chuen, Yau Kim-lun, and Wong Yun-wah.
Presenting his commendations, Mr Tupper expressed his heartfelt thanks to the recipients and congratulated them on their selfless and public-spirited acts.
