Three members of the Independent Police Complaints Council (IPCC), Mr Edward Pong Chong, Dr Lawrence Lam Chi-kit, and Mr Barry Cheung Chun-yuen, accompanied by the Deputy Secretary of IPCC, Mr Brandon Chau, visited the Complaints Against Police Office (CAPO) at Police Headquarters on May 21.

After being greeted by Assistant Commissioner (Service Quality) Ma Wai-luk, CSP Complaints and Internal Investigations Branch (C&IIB) Fan Sik-ming and SSP CAPO John Ribeiro, the IPCC members were briefed on the structure and functions of CAPO. Following the briefing, they toured the CAPO HKI, Kowloon, and NT Regional Offices. They also observed the daily operation of CAPO's Reporting Centre at Caine House.

The visit was part of C&IIB's programme to deepen IPCC members' understanding of the operation of CAPO.
