Applications are invited for the Promotion to Sergeant Qualifying Examination 2007, which will be held on October 21 (Sunday).

The deadline for application is June 25. Applicants are required to fill in and sign the unit/sub-unit Application Form personally.

Applicants should familiarise themselves with the "Instructions to Candidates" contained in the related PEN message dated May 25, 2007. Two new instructions have been added:

(i) To prevent malpractice or disruption, candidates are strongly advised not to carry electronic information devices (such as mobile phone, pager or PDA, etc) into the Examination Halls. Candidates who bring such devices should switch off the power or turn to "silent" mode before putting them underneath the chair as directed.

(ii) To maintain good Police image, candidates should comply with restrictions on smoking (e.g. Designated Smoking Areas) at the examination centres.
