10th HKSAR Anniversary observed
The 10th Anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR was observed with a flag-raising ceremony at the Golden Bauhinia Square on the morning of July 1, followed by the inauguration ceremony of the third term HKSAR Government at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
President Hu Jintao presided over the swearing in of the Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, and the Principal Officials.

HKSARG Honours and Awards List announced
A total of 30 serving and retired disciplined and civilian officers were honoured in the 2007 HKSARG Honours and Awards List announced on July 1.
Former Commissioner, Mr Lee Ming-kwai, was awarded the Gold Bauhinia Star. Among the other recipients, four officers were conferred with the Police Medal for Distinguished Service, 24 with the Police Medal for Meritorious Service and one with the Chief Executive's Commendation for Government Service.
