In mid-2006, NB conducted a joint operation in New Zealand with the NZP and the New Zealand Customs Service to combat transnational drug trafficking, resulting in the arrest of six persons and seizure of 95 kg of methamphetamine (ICE), 155 kg of ICE precursor, six handguns and one M16 rifle. The drug has an estimated retail value of HK$700 million. Prior to the presentation, Mr Broad paid a courtesy call on Commissioner Tang King-shing.
