Force launches recruitment campaign |
||
The Force is going to recruit 105 probationary inspectors (PIs) and 1,200 recruit police constables (RPCs) during the 2007/08 financial year. In order to meet this target and to recruit the most suitable candidates, the Recruitment Division of Personnel Wing will launch a Police Career Information Day (Career Day) at the Police Headquarters on July 8. From April 1 to June 11, the Recruitment Division received more than 3,000 applications, and 29 Direct Entry PIs and 210 RPCs were taken on strength during the same period. Providing a one-stop service to applicants on that day, the Career Day will feature career talks, experience-sharing with serving officers, on-the-spot application and group interviews, targeting at sub-degree and F.7 graduates. For enquiries about the event, contact the Recruitment Division on 2860-8466 or 2860-2859. Meanwhile, the Recruitment Division will hold a "Recruitment Leaflet Design Competition" with a view to designing a new leaflet to publicise recruitment messages. The design of winning entries will be considered for use as the recruitment leaflet. The competition will take place between July 3 and August 13 for two categories, namely Open and Staff Group. The Staff Group Competition is an exercise under the Police Staff Motivation Scheme and is open to all Force members, including Auxiliary officers and civilians. Details of the competition are available on publicity posters and online at www.police.gov.hk/recruitment. Enquiries can be directed to the Recruitment Division on 2860-6476 or 2860-6477. |
