Background A series of enhancement measures has been implemented since November 20 2006 to strengthen Force response in handling and investigating domestic violence (DV) reports. The measures include an introduction of the Emergency Referral Questionnaire (ERQ) and the Action Checklist (AC). Multiple ERQs & New Printing Function An ERQ has to be completed once a report has been classified as DV no matter whether any offence has been disclosed or not. On some occasions, officers are required to assess the needs of multiple victims and subjects involved in a DV case for emergency referrals by completing an ERQ for each person. The enhanced version provides tab pages under the "DV Actions" menu for inputting up to three ERQs in one case. ERQs can be referred to respective victims and subjects by selecting their names from a drop-down list. Moreover, a more user-friendly function for printing ERQ and AC is now available. Access to ERQ & AC in Transferred/Consolidated Case Under the "One Family One Team" concept, DV cases often have to be transferred to another investigation unit or consolidated for further enquires. The enhanced version provides officers of the unit taking over a transferred or consolidated case with instant access and printing function of the ERQ(s) and AC previously completed by the originating unit. Audit Log of ERQ & AC To strengthen frontline supervision and monitoring of ERQ and AC inputting qualities, viewing of audit log is now available under the "Case History" menu. Any amendment made to the ERQ and AC, including the date and time, changed data and officer, is captured in the audit log for supervisory inspection.
