Background Since September 2006, Support Wing has issued instructions to frontline officers on the correct inputting procedures in respect of the number of raids conducted against dangerous drugs (DD), vice and gambling in CIS, for the purpose of compiling the Controlling Officer's Report (COR) and to direct supervisory officers at District and Regional levels to conduct checks in CIS on the number of raids on a monthly basis. To ensure data accuracy and to allow users to amend raid details in CIS, enhancements were made in CIS version 9.2 to facilitate the efficient inputting and retrieval of raid details. New Initiatives The following new features were made in CIS v. 9.2 on preparing sitreps for raids: (a) For the three types of raid at Sitrep Menu (i.e. Gambling, DD and Vice), the Narrative and Statistics screens of each raid are combined; (b) Users can select a reporting data up to a maximum of past three months so that any previous data recorded in the Divisional Sitrep on the date can be displayed or amended; (c) Text labels at raid statistics are modified to show the clearer meanings of the figures required; (d) When inputting raid statistics, a button "All zeros except inputted values" can be used to initialise zeros to all blank fields. More Efficient Monitoring The enhanced sitreps for raids enable users to amend raid details for the past three months. Designated officers (i.e. DOOs, CIPs OPS, SPs OPS) who can access CIS SF are advised to conduct monthly checks regarding raid details and facilitate necessary amendments as soon as possible. Limitation Amendments to raid details are only applicable to those Report Numbers that are created on or after July 31 2007.
