APTDIST needs support for charity

On the morning of Sunday, November 18, teams of runners will gather around the Matilda Hospital on the Peak with some having fancy face-paints and decking out in colourful costume, while others carrying colourful sedan chairs to compete for the title of the Matilda Hospital Sedan Chair Race 2007. And they will have one thing in common - to raise funds for charity.

Representing the Force in the annual charity race will be eight officers from the Airport District (APTDIST), and they are eager to grab the title of this gruelling 3.2-km race again. They hope Force members would generously dip into their pockets for the race and attend the extravaganza to cheer them on.

Donations can be made in cheque payable to "Matilda Charities Fund" and sent to Chief Inspector Lai Ka-chi of APTDIST. Queries can be made to Police Constable Ching Ying-wai at 9233-5180 or e-mail to admin-aptdist@police.gov.hk.

More details of the event are available at the website http://www.sedanchairace.org/index_chinese.htm.
