Graft fighters call on DMS
The Director General of the Bangladesh Anti-Corruption Commission, Mr Abu Talib Miah, and the Deputy Director, Mr Mohammad Shafiqur Rahman Bhuiyan, paid a courtesy call on Director of Management Services Mike Dowie, the Force Ethics Officer, on August 30.
The visiting guests were accompanied by Mr David Wildman and Mr Mark Briskey, Senior Liaison Officer of the Australian Federal Police of the Hong Kong and Dhaka Offices respectively.
The Bangladesh officials also visited the Internal Investigations Office and heard a briefing on the Force's initiatives and strategies in integrity management and corruption prevention. Views and experiences were shared and the visitors showed much appreciation of the Force's efforts in maintaining officers' high integrity.
The liaison visit is part of the Bangladesh Anti-Corruption Commission's project to garner overseas experience in setting up and managing a robust anti-corruption agency.
