In the last issue, we shared some usage tips about using CIS Bail Module. In this issue, we share usage experience of Public Order Event (POE) Module. Cannot save a POE incident with error message E0427 displayed In saving a POE incident, you may find that the incident cannot be saved with error message "E0427 - attempt to index null into column..." displayed. It is usually caused by the non-filled "Incident start date" of the POE RN. You should enter the date in the field and try again. If the problem persists, contact CHD for assistance. Cannot amend incident heading after saving a POE incident For POE cases, a series of statistics capturing processes will be invoked once they have been saved. Reversing the process is not allowed under current CIS design. You are advised to mark the POE as "cancelled" by taking the following steps: * In the RN, select "POE" on the left selection menu. * Select "Post Inc. Info" tab page. * Click the "Cancel" checkbox. * State reasons in the remark, e.g. "wrong entry". * Save change and close the RN. For details, refer to Section 20.12.3 of the CIS Training Manual.
Cannot exclude involvement formation from a POE RN You may sometimes come across that the "current formation is not involved" checkbox is dimmed. This problem might have been caused by the location entered. You should try the following steps to rectify the problem: * For a Public Procession, remove all routes that are related to your formation, or * For a Public Meeting, select an appropriate formation as the "Occurring Formation". Cannot close a POE RN If you see a message that "Outstanding POE case copying" is displayed, this implies that there might be outstanding POE status in CIS. You should ascertain whether: * The other formation has already accepted or rejected the POE case by enquiring "Copy Case to Rel. Formation" tab page of the POE module. The "outstanding" status indicates that the formation has not accepted or rejected your POE. * If that is the case, request the formation DO to accept or reject the POE RN.
