Ngau Tau Kok Divisional Commander Chris Bilham attended the 34th International Executive Conference of the International Police Association (IPA) at Lake Balaton, Hungary, in September this year as representative of the Hong Kong section of the IPA.

As usual, the event began with a colourful ceremony in which delegates wore the uniform of their service, and both the Minister for Public Security and the Commissioner of the Hungarian Police extended a warm welcome to the delegates.

At the conclusion, three new sections were welcomed to the IPA family - Andorra, Botswana and Serbia, bringing the total number of member countries to 60 with a combined membership of over 333,000.

Moscow will host the next conference from September 16 to 21 next year, and all IPA members are welcome to attend.
