Leaflet design contest reinforces recruitment publicity
The "Staff Group" has been incorporated into the "Police Staff Motivation Scheme".
Addressing the presentation ceremony, Assistant Commissioner (Personnel) Xavier Tang Kam-moon emphasised that as more and more recruits would be required in the coming years, it is essential to launch the leaflet design competition to reinforce recruitment publicity. By participating in the competition, students would have a better idea of police work and have more interest in joining the Force.
An adjudication panel headed by Chief Superintendent (Human Resources) Alfred Chau selected the winners. To ensure impartiality and professional opinions for the adjudication, Mr Michael Miller Yu, a member of the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Designers Association, and Ms Wendy Leung, Principal Information Officer of Police Public Relations Branch, were also invited to sit on the panel.
After the presentation ceremony, an exhibition of the winning designs and all other entries was held outside the ceremony venue, with the winners and other participants introducing their works to visitors.
