Crime Wing Sports Day

The Crime Wing Sports Day 2007 held at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on October 26, saw 700 officers from Crime Wing participating in a variety of sporting activities, including different ball games, a 1.5-km run and games that required esprit de corps like indoor orienteering, tug-of-war and fun sports. Although participation is more important than results for this event, it looks that the Crime Wing has no shortage of sports elites!

To promote the new Integrated Approach to Physical Fitness and Health Management launched by the Force, a booth was set up at the venue to provide information on all the sports and art clubs in the Force as well as tips on healthy lifestyle. The booth also provided measuring of blood pressure and body fat, a service welcomed by many officers.

The event concluded with presentation of prizes by Assistant Commissioner (Crime) Wong Fook-chuen, with Crime Wing HQ and Support Group clinching the overall championship by defeating Commercial Crime Bureau, which had fought hard to defend its title.
