The Police Cross Country Championships 2007 took place on October 22 at the Fanling Golf Club on a beautiful sunny day, attracting more than 200 officers. It has been two years since the last race was held in 2004, and every runner was very excited about running on the green again.

The course was about six kilometres for men and four kilometres for ladies, looping round green fairways and through overgrown bush.

New Territories North Regional Commander Cheung Siu-wah kicked off the race at 10 am.

The winner of the ladies event was Woman Constable Chow Pui-yan of Police Tactical Unit New Territories North, finishing in 19 minutes and 24 seconds. The Men's Open winner was Chief Inspector Andy Naylor of Yau Tsim District, who clocked 22 minutes and 55 seconds.

Police Constable Ching Ying-wai of Airport District captured the Men's Senior title in 24 minutes and 25 seconds; Sergeant Wun Yiu-ki of Regional Headquarters New Territories North won the Men's Master I, while Senior Police Constable Lee Tak-wai of Crime Headquarters won the Men's Master II.

Airport District carried off the Specialist & Training Units' Team Trophy whilst Regional Headquarters New Territories North, Emergency Unit Kowloon East and Witness Protection Unit won the Other Formation Team Trophies as champion, first runner-up and second runner-up respectively.

At the end of the race, Mr Cheung and Tai Po District Commander Charles Mitchell congratulated the winners and presented trophies.
