The Hong Kong Police Children's Choir celebrated its 25th anniversary by holding a Concert at the Auditorium, Kwai Tsing Theatre on New Year's Eve.

Apart from the JPOA Harmonica Class, the Choir was also honoured with the participation of the Foshan Police Officers' Choir who made their maiden visit to Hong Kong for this joint performance.

Officiating at the concert was Personnel Services and Staff Relations Branch Chief Superintendent Ng Tsui Fung-ying. It was attended by a 900-audience comprising mostly Force members and their families together with some senior officials of the Fushan Police and members of the general public.

The Hong Kong Police Children's Choir and the guest performers gave an impressive performance. Their hard work and concerted effort were met with overwhelming applause from the audience throughout the evening. The mixed singing of the children and adult choir brought special harmonious effect to the performance. The concert reached a climax when both choirs sang the specially written Chinese lyrics for Auld Lang Syne as the finale. The choirs got an enthusiastic encore. The atmosphere filled with joy and warmth when the audience joined the singing, clapped their hands and greeted each other with warm wishes and hand shakes as the concert came to an end.
