The Learning and Development Support Centre of the Police College recently ran three train-the-trainer courses on facilitation and team-building skills at the Police Officers' Club for a total of 61 officers. Designed to equip Training and Staff Relations Officers and members of formation training teams with the skills to carry out their training roles as stated in FPM 52-15, the three-day training course taught the trainees the theory of facilitation and team-building, the importance of teamwork and the ways to form an effective team. A series of practical exercises were also provided for the trainees. Different training methods were used throughout the course, including facilitation, discussion, role-play and group exercise, which had bolstered the trainees' skills as qualified trainers at their workplaces. The train-the-trainer training course was conducted by Superintendent Cheung Kam-chuen, Force Training Officer (Social Studies), Chief Inspector Lo Kam-tim, Assistant Force Training Officer (Training Projects), and Acting Inspector (Training Days) Ma Hung-cheung.
