Twenty-five members of the Police Golfing Society, led by their vice-chairman, Mr Philip Sham Wai-kin, participated in the 13th "Triangular Golf Tournament" hosted by the Royal Thai Police Golfing Society at Chiang Mai, Thailand, between November 27 and 29, last year.

First held in 1992, the "Triangular Golf Tournament" is hosted by the golfing societies of the Royal Thai Police, Singapore Police and Hong Kong Police Force alternatively every year, offering two team championships.

The 2007 tournament took place on November 28 and 29. The Police Golfing Society fought hard on both days and beat the Singapore Police team by just three points in winning the "Ray Anning Plate", played on Nett Stableford. Competition was equally tough on the second day for the "Pacific Plate", played on Gross Stableford. Eventually the Royal Thai Police team carried off the prize.

The Police Golfing Society had another big field day on December 6, last year, at the fourth round of the Disciplined Services Golf Tournament 2007, in which all Hong Kong disciplinary services golfing societies participated. The match was played on a golf course in Dongguan, Guangdong. The Force team won both the championships of the Team Gross and Team Nett, as well as the first three places of the Individual Gross.
