Another example of lifelong learning

Here is another example of Force members pursuing lifelong learning in their free time. At a recent graduation ceremony, 12 officers, comprising a Chief Inspector, two Senior Inspectors, six Station Sergeants, two Sergeants and a Police Constable, obtained their degrees after completing part-time courses run by the Southern Columbia University in the United States.

CIP Chan Wing-leung and SIP Ng Wai-kee have obtained Master Degree in Business Administration; SIP So Hing-sau, Bachelor Degree in Occupational, Safety and Health; SSGTs Ng Chi-tat and Wong Chung-wai and SGT Cheng Muk-kan, Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, and SSGTs Lam Wai-leung, Chan Chik-hoi, Kwok Wai-choi and Law Chin-hung, SGT Lam Kwok-hung and PC Lee Lok-yan, Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice and Practical Social Studies.

Coming from different units, the officers have sacrified their free time and made a lot of efforts in completing their part-time studies. Under the guidance of their tutors, the officers have gone through the learning process and shared views and ideas through e-mail and the Internet, breaking down the limitation of time and boundary.

Family members were present at the graduation ceremony to share the officers' joy of their accomplishment. The officers see this occasion just a new beginning in their lives, and have vowed to continue striving to attain their goal of lifelong learning.

The graduating officers will strive to attain higher goals
