IPCC Members visit Police College

Six members of the Independent Police Complaints Council (IPCC), Mr Hui Yung-chung, Mr Edward Pong Chong, Dr Tse Tak-fu, Dr Lawrence Lam Chi-kit, Mr Wong Kwok-yan and Mr Clement Tao Kwok-lau, accompanied by IPCC Secretary, Mrs Philomena Leung, visited the Police College on March 7.

They were greeted and briefed by Director of Police College Cheuk Chun-yin, Deputy Director Gavin Brown, and Senior Superintendent (FTC) Kwok Yam-shu on the development, training philosophy and organisation of the Police College.

Accompanying the IPCC Members on the visit were Assistant Commissioner (Service Quality) Ma Wai-luk, Complaints & Internal Investigations Branch (C&IIB) Chief Superintendent Fan Sik-ming, Complaints Against Police Office (CAPO) Senior Superintendent John Ribeiro, and Superintendent (CAPO HQ) Cheung Kin-kwong.

The visit was organised by C&IIB as part of a programme to further enhance IPCC Members' understanding of the difficulties being faced by officers working on the frontline.
