The Special Duties Unit (SDU) is recruiting Inspectors and Junior Police Officers, who are seeking new challenges, variety and innovation in their work.

As a newly trained SDU Assault Group Leader, an Inspector will be expected to lead from the front, be prepared to do all that is asked of his men and above all, possess the mental determination to succeed in the face of adversity.

In his team, he will have a group of the most able, experienced and physically outstanding officers in the Force. These operators are multi-skilled in disciplines as diverse as reconnaissance, assault diving, tactical climbing or combat medicine. Operators are also highly trained close quarter combat specialists and qualified Use of Force Instructors.

To command such a team, an SDU Inspector must possess the will to lead, intelligence, good all-round practical abilities and a cool temperament when under pressure.

SDU selection is designed to identify officers with these qualities and more ...indeed...

It must.

One day, the unthinkable might just happen... and when it does, SDU must be ready.
