October 26, 1982 marked a milestone of the staff relations within the Force when the Police Force Council held its first meeting.

The Council discusses all significant matters pertaining to pay and conditions of service, including pay trend survey, medical benefits and grade structure review. In the past 26 years, it has greatly enhanced internal communications among staff, management and administration.

On July 10, the Council held its 100th meeting underscoring its fine tradition of open communication and partnership.
