Officer/Unit Appreciation from Service commended
DC BORDIST Leung King-hang Principal of primary school in Sha Tau Kok The principal thanked CSP Leung for assisting his school in organising a "Teen Anti-drug Abuse Ambassadors" Scheme and training his pupils on promoting anti-drug activities. After attending workshops and visiting the Narcotics Division's Information Centre, with the assistance of the Police Community Relations Office, the pupils' parents offered great support for, and encouraged their children to join, the scheme.
APTDIST Local airline The airline thanked APTDIST for providing "prompt and professional" services when a typhoon disrupted sea and air traffic and affected thousands of travellers in April this year.

DSIP Leung Chi-hang and DPC Lee Wing-tai, both from DIT 4 WCHDIST Owner of dried sea food shop The shop owner greatly appreciated the quality services provided by the officers in solving a theft case that took place in the shop in January this year. In particular, the owner was impressed with the professionalism, patience and courtesy DPC Lee displayed in investigating the case.
SPC Lam Kwok-man and PCs Choi Chi-shing and Chiu Wai-shun, all from APTDIST Airline manager The manager complimented the officers for providing prompt and professional services in pacifying a Japanese passenger when he turned abusive and argued with staff of the airline in July this year
RAILDIST Non-governmental Organisation (NGO) The NGO paid tribute to officers from RAILDIST for conducting themselves in a "polite, friendly and helpful" manner when the NGO staged a rally in Central MTR Station to press for concessionary fares for the disabled.
KTDIST A Sai Kung District Councillor The councillor wrote to CP to thank the police for making a great effort in investigating a theft case in January this year, and to compliment investigating officers for their professionalism and efficiency.
SGT Tong Yam-leung and WPC Li Pui-yee from RAILDIST US tourist In a letter to CP, the tourist said she would not have got her handbag back "in "perfect condition" without the officers' "very capable assistance". She added that she was amazed by the officers' "persistent competence".
SGT So Kin-wing and PCs Chan Ming-tat and Lu Kong-ting from TYDIV Resident The resident expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the officers for locating an expensive camera he had lost in a restaurant on Tsing Yi in June this year.
SPC Cheung Wai-kwok and PC Wong Kit from PLN 2 EU KW Resident The resident wrote to CP to thank the officers for upholding justice and being helpful, kind and considerate whilst handling a common assault case.
