The Welfare Service Group of Personnel Services and Staff Relations Branch is going to organise a support group for officers or their family members suffering from cancer. Members of the group will be able to share among themselves views on how to live with the illness and enhance the quality of life.

At meetings of the support group, multi-disciplinary professionals, including oncologist, dietitian, Chinese Medicine Practitioner and dance therapist, will give talks and answer questions from the floor. This will enable group members to know more about cancer treatment and rehabilitation, strengthen their support network and develop a more positive attitude towards lives and work.

The support group will meet at the Police Sports and Recreation Club (PSRC) from 9 am to 5 pm on Friday, October 24; at the Tai Mei Tuk Activities Training Centre from 9 am to 1 pm on Friday, October 31, to be followed by a visit to the Cancer Link in Central from 2 pm to 5 pm, and at PSRC from 9 am to 5 pm on Friday, November 7.

For enquiry or registration, contact Ms Sonia Kwok on 2150-7987 or Ms Fanny Yuen on 2150-7986..
