The International Association of Suicide Prevention and the World Health Organisation have designated September 10 as "World Suicide Prevention Day". To support the theme of suicide prevention, the Psychological Services Group (PSG) conducted a "Balances and Wisdom" seminar on the evening of the next day in the Auditorium of Police Headquarters.

At the seminar, Dr Tsang Fan-kwong, Senior Medical Officer of the Castle Peak Hospital, gave a talk on "Positivity in Times of Good and Bad" as a speaker. The seminar was well-received by over 200 Force members that evening, and they learned a lot of wisdom from Dr Tsang's interesting analogies and stories, including developing open and positive perspectives, building positive emotions and flexibility.

Concluding the seminar, Dr Tsang encouraged every Force member to seek help when they needed it and to support and care for each other as a concerted effort to prevent suicide.

The audience finds Dr Tsang's analogies and stories enlightening and interesting
