Police swimmers shine in
swimming championships
The Police Swimming Team pulled off 23 champion titles, 24 first runner-up places and 15 second runner-up places at the Annual Master Swimming Championships Age Group Swimming Event held by the Hong Kong Amateur Swimming Association on September 6.
The team also grabbed the trophy for the Overall 1st Runner-up.
Thirty police swimmers participated in individual and relay events, cheered on by Police Swimming Club Chairman, Assistant Commissioner (Crime) Wong Fook-chuen, and Club Vice-chairmen, Mr Stephen Ma and Mr Rocky Law.
The Police Swimming Team outshone many big swimming clubs such as the Kwun Tong Swimming Club, the South China Swimming Club and the Fire Services Swimming Club.
A bonus for the Police Swimming Team in the competition is the shattering of police records by Superintendent Kwok Yam-yung, Inspector Li Kar-wai, Sergeant Ngai Chi-yuen, Police Constable Filomeno Chiang and Woman Police Constable Tang Mei-yin.

Every event is hotly contested
