CELAP professor gives talk in PHQ
Dr Liu Zhexin from the China Executive Leadership Academy Pudong (CELAP) visited the Force on October 29 and gave a talk to officers on "Integration of Chinese and Western Civilisations and the Way Forward to the Rule of Law on the Mainland" at the Auditorium in PHQ.
Since June this year, the Force has been sending officers to attend a seven-day course at CELAP in Shanghai. CELAP is a national training academy base for officers of the upper echelon and managers of business enterprises, where the training courses have a high standard that is hard to find among similar courses in the past. After completion of the course at CELAP, officers would have a better understanding and knowledge of the recent history and development on the Mainland and its policies on social, economic and infrastructural developments.
About 140 officers attended the seminar, with simultaneous interpretation arranged by the Police College. Dr Liu gave participants a valuable tutorial to enhance their understanding of "the Way Forward to the Rule of Law on the Mainland"; after which the participants had a frank and friendly exchange of views with Dr Liu during an open discussion forum.
