KE anti-corruption slogan contest draws overwhelming response |
||
Kowloon East (KE) Region recently conducted a Regional Anti-corruption Slogan Design Competition with a view to making officers more aware of honesty and integrity, and disseminating anti-corruption messages across the Region. The competition was one of the Region's initiatives to support the Force's Anti-corruption strategy, and it was administered under the Police Staff Motivation Scheme. The competition, comprising English and Chinese sections, attracted over 100 entries from all ranks. After evaluation by two independent judging panels composed of senior KE officers, seven winners were selected, including two first runners-up in the Chinese section. At a prize presentation ceremony on October 28 at the KE Regional Headquarters, KE Regional Commander Blaine Hoggard presented awards to the winners. In his speech, Mr Hoggard not only congratulated the winners on their success but also extended his sincere thanks to all participants and their Formation Commanders for their overwhelming support for the contest. He pointed out that the substantial number of entries received indicated that the competition had helped promote a corruption-free environment and a culture of honesty and integrity in KE Region. "More importantly, it has put the message of the Force's zero tolerance of corruption across the Region!" he noted. The winning slogans will be displayed at the "Ethics Corners" in all Formations in the Region. Please refer to the Chinese version for the list of winners and their entries.
