OffBeat conducted an opinion survey in August this year to seek respondents' views on eight questions, which mainly covered the kind of articles to be scrapped or strengthened, pictures to be included, page make-up, and the roles of OffBeat. A total of 298 questionnaires were returned, of which 278 came from individual officers while the rest - 20 - from various units. Collation of the respondents' views shows that most of them were happy with the content of OffBeat. Many opined that no change was necessary for the contents, pictures, and page make-up; and that OffBeat had played a role in internal communication. But in view of the request of some respondents for strengthening news on law enforcement / legislation / Force internal guidelines/policy changes, OffBeat will do its best to oblige.
