TV feature kicks off on | |||
The "Shenzhen-Hong Kong Land Boundary Police Co-operation Scheme" was established in January 2003 with a view to maintaining law and order in several boundary control point areas and providing quality police services to tourists. Since then, the scheme has enhanced co-operation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, especially in intelligence-gathering and joint operations. And over the past five years, Shenzhen and Hong Kong have worked closely together to combat cross-boundary crime and provided quality police services to the public. To celebrate the 5th Anniversary of the co-operation scheme and to highlight its success and contribution, the Police Magazine has produced a series of "Shenzhen-Hong Kong Land Boundary Police Co-operation Scheme". This brand new feature will introduce the latest crime trend, modus operandi, and crime black spots in Shenzhen. It will also introduce some of the facts about Shenzhen Public Security Bureau that are rarely known. The Police Public Relations Branch (PPRB) and RTHK jointly held a kick-off ceremony and a press conference for the "Shenzhen-Hong Kong Land Boundary Police Co-operation Scheme Feature II" at Police Headquarters on November 6. Head of the Publicity Division of the Shenzhen Public Security Bureau, Mr Xiao Ming; Assistant Director for Broadcasting (PATV), Mr Cheung Man-sun, and Chief Superintendent PPRB Ng Ka-sing, officiated at the function to underline the determination of the Force and Shenzhen to combat crime. The feature comprises several episodes, with the first one being officially broadcast the following day. The other episodes will be shown on the Police Magazine between 7 pm and 7:30 pm on the following Fridays on TVB Jade. The episodes will also be available for subsequent viewing of Police Magazine through Police Public Page (url: http://www.police.gov.hk/hkp-home/english/pprb/polrpt/index.htm) or from DVDs produced by the Television and Film Section of PPRB following the broadcast of the whole feature.
