To promote a healthy lifestyle, Kowloon East Region held its Regional Sports Day at the Police Sports and Recreation Club on October 31. This annual event featured a variety of activities ranging from highly competitive 7-a-side football, squash, tennis and tug-of-war, through slightly more cerebral lawn bowls and ten pin bowling, to light hearted fun sports and cheering team competition.

Officers competed enthusiastically not only for personal victory, but also for honours for their Formations.

The climax of the day came in the afternoon when Kowloon East Regional Commander Blaine Hoggard and his District Commanders officiated at the final rounds of 7-a-side football and tug-of-war respectively, while cheering teams tried their best to entertain the spectators.

Following a series of close and exciting competition, Wong Tai Sin District grabbed the Major Unit Trophy while Traffic Kowloon East won the Minor Unit Trophy and the cheering team competition.

Healthy lifestyle is the order of the day
