The Force further strengthened friendship and working relationship with the Guangdong and Macao Security Forces in the annual sports exchange in November.

The 9th Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Police and Security Forces Sports Exchange held in Shenzhen saw three days of intense and exciting competition in shooting, swimming, soccer, tennis and basketball. The force athletes won the overall 1st runner-up and the championship of basketball competition.

While athletes were engaged in "pitched battles", senior officials from the three law enforcement agencies played friendly matches. Director of Crime and Security Lee Ka-chiu demonstrated his skill in the basketball shooting competition with counterparts in the opening ceremony. Deputy Commissioner (Operations) Yam Tat-wing played a friendly table-tennis mixed-double match with senior officials of Guangdong, Macao, Central People's Government Liaison Office and Shenzhen and won the 1st runner up title of the Senior Officials' Table-tennis match.
