Chief Superintendent Chau Kwok-leung from the Human Resources Branch officiated at the session and expressed his gratitude to all the guest speakers.

To start with, Assistant Professor Viola Wong, Associate Head of the English Learning Centre of the Polytechnic University of Hong Kong and a principal marker of the English Task Paper Written Examination, gave an informative presentation on how to enhance officers' English writing skills. Then Chief Inspector Paul Gordon from the Recruitment Division highlighted the salient points of his observations about the Extended Interviews.

Afterwards, Senior Superintendent Kwok Yam-shu from the Foundation Training Centre, Police College, spoke of his observations as Chairman of the Final Interview Board.

Acting robotic or replaying from a drilled mode could not bring out the true merits of the candidates. Mr Kwok especially stressed that officers should first excel at their duties.
