Police Sports Council Chairman Cheung Siu-wah started the race before Commissioner Tang King-shing and Deputy Commissioner Yam Tat-wing, who were on hand to cheer on the runners as guest of honour. Joining them were many senior officers and retired Deputy Commissioner Fung Siu-yuen.

Finally, Chief Inspector Andy Naylor broke his record and retained the title of the Male Senior Category.

Most of the participants completed the race, a sign of their strong support for PHM. Thanks to the assistance and support provided by helpers from the Football Referee Association, Police Tactical Unit Headquarters, Police College, Kwun Tong Division and formations, this major event in the Force's sports calendar has proved to be another success.
