Police couple makes double Hole-in-One |

Not every golfer can hit a Hole-in-One throughout his golf life. To make it by a married police couple at the same hole, at the same golf course, in the same flight, and on the same day is virtually impossible. Yet Superintendent Christine Wong Suk-ching and Senior Inspector John Wong Kai-wah, both Executive Committee members of the Hong Kong Police Golfing Society, made it at the Pete Dye Golf Course, Mission Hills Golf Course, Shenzhen, last December. They were thrilled at this terrific surprise and held small celebration parties to share their joy with their golfer friends. "We were wondering where our balls had gone when we found no balls on the green when apparently our two balls should have been there," said the couple. They eventually found the balls in the hole. They then notified the course manager and all course marshals rushed in to congratulate them, as it is the first time a married couple has hit a Hole-in-One at the same time at Mission Hills Golf Courses. John and Christine are now applying for their golf result to be listed in the Guinness World Record. This is the second time John has hit a Hole-in-One, but this time he is more joyful to have made it with his wife. "It makes me very happy that we share the same sport and can play the game together," said Christine. Apart from playing the game every week, the couple joined senior members of the Hong Kong Police Golfing Society in running the "Golf Course for Beginners" last month to help promote the sport and a healthy lifestyle among Force members and their families.
