Obituary
Former Assistant Commissioner, Mrs Wong Leung Kam-shan, died of illness in hospital on March 29. Commissioner Tang King-shing sent a letter of condolences to Mrs Wong's family on learning of the news.
Mrs Wong joined the Force as a Probationary Inspector in April 1963, and subsequently advanced to the rank of Assistant Commissioner in January 1995, following a series of promotions.
She retired as New Territories North Regional Commander in March 1999 after 36 years of distinguished service. She was awarded the Bronze Bauhinia Star in 1998, Long Service Medal, First, Second and Third Clasps in 1997, QPM Medal in 1996, CPM Medal in 1986, CPLSM Second Clasp in 1993, CPLSM First Clasp in 1988, CPLSM in 1981.
Mrs Wong will be greatly missed by those who know or have worked with her.
