Officers raise $140,000 for charity
A total of 430 officers, led by Hong Kong Island Regional Commander Hung Hak-wai, took part in the Po Leung Kuk Charity Walk 2009 on February 15, and raised over $140,000 for the Kuk.
Speaking at the event's prize presentation ceremony on March 25, Mrs Pauline P L Ngan, Chairman of the Kuk, and Mr Quincy K Y Lui, Chairman of the Organising Committee cum Vice Chairman of the Kuk, expressed their appreciation of Force members' support and generosity for the charity walk.
On behalf of the Force, Mr Hung received three outstanding awards at the presentation ceremony, namely Gold Fund-raising Award for teams, Highest Donation Award for teams and Highest Number of Participants Award.
