KE strives to promote Integrity Management

Kowloon East (KE) Region has recently launched a Poster Design Competition titled "Counting Our Virtues: Integrity Matters!" to promote awareness of Integrity Management among its officers. The competition was one of KE's initiatives to support the Force Strategy for Integrity Management and was run under the Police Staff Motivation Scheme.

Through display of eye-catching posters, the competition also aimed at bringing out the important messages of integrity, so as to further promote and nurture a sustainable ethical culture and at the same time encourage officers to resist all forms of corruption.

Over a seven-week entry period, the competition attracted over 30 artworks from all ranks. To ensure a fair and impartial selection process, the entries were graded by an independent adjudicating panel, presided over by DC KTDIST and a number of senior officers, and the identities of the entries were not revealed, with the panel members making their decisions independently. Following a careful evaluation, six entries were picked as the champion, first runner-up, second runner-up and three merit prize winners.

Presenting prizes to the winners at KE Regional Headquarters on August 28, KE Regional Commander Suen Kwai-leung congratulated the winners on their originality in design and creativity in visual expression. The attractive designs of the winning posters not only conveyed a strong and clear message on integrity, but also communicated to viewers the four-pronged approach for the Force Strategy for Integrity Management in "a powerful and highly-organised manner", he said.

"Given the high standard of the entries, the competition has clearly aroused officers' awareness, and most importantly, helps foster a culture of honesty and integrity in Kowloon East Region," Mr Suen noted.

The winning posters are on display at KE Regional Website and the noticeboards of individual formations within KE.
