KE anti-drug seminar

The Regional Crime Prevention Office of Kowloon East (RCPO KE) organised an "Anti-Youth Drugs Abuse Seminar" in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University on August 30 as part of an anti-drug abuse project in KE's Project "Sunshine". The event attracted over 200 students, teachers and school principals.

At the seminar, which aimed at minimising the drug problems amongst youth through education, the Advisor of Project "Sunshine", Dr Ben Cheung Kin-leung, who is a Specialist in Psychiatry and Chairman of the Sub-Committee on Treatment and Rehabilitation of the Action Committee Against Narcotics; Dr Vicky Lee, Chemist of the Forensic Section of Government Laboratory, and Narcotics Bureau Senior Inspector Gary Tsang, gave talks on the topics of "Drug Effects on Youth" and "Urinalysis".

After the talks, the audience toured an exhibition of the popular drugs available in Hong Kong.
