Tsim Sha Tsui Division (TSTDIV) recently organised a Clocks and Watches Trade Anti-Theft Seminar at Tsim Sha Tsui Police Station for about 50 representatives from 19 companies in Tsim Sha Tsui.

At the seminar, which was chaired by Divisional Commander TSTDIV Brian Lowcock, Kowloon West Regional Crime Prevention Unit Station Sergeant Kwok Kam-tim gave a presentation on the modus operandi and trends of shop theft in prestigious stores in Tsim Sha Tsui, and offered some anti-theft tips.

At the invitation of TSTDIV, Fraud Control Officer of BOC Credit Card (International) Limited, Mr Lee Kwok-wai, also gave an update on forged credit cards, while a shop supervisor shared his experience of co-operating with the police in apprehending criminals using forged credit cards. Finally, TSTDIV Task Force Sergeant Leung Chi-kwong introduced the work of his unit and advised the clocks and watches trade on how to deal with suspicious persons and how to co-operate with the Task Force in handling such cases.

At a tea reception held after the seminar, Task Force members and the trade representatives got to know each other better and hotline cards were distributed to encourage the representatives to contact the police if they require any assistance.
