The Secretary for the Civil Service announced on December 28 the availability of additional sessions of Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and ultrasound scanning services for civil service eligible persons (CSEPs). With effect from January 11, CSEPs who already have an appointment for CT/MRI/ultrasound services at a Hospital Authority (HA) hospital and do not need to be hospitalised for receiving the services may approach the One-stop Booking Office to check whether an earlier appointment could be scheduled at the specified diagnostic centres: Prince of Wales Hospital, Queen Mary Hospital and Medical School of the University of Hong Kong. All CSEPs who require CT, MRI or ultrasound services as prescribed by HA doctors should continue to book and secure the required services at their attending HA hospitals first. Afterwards, if they wish, they may approach the Booking Office to check whether an earlier appointment would be available. The Booking Office will assign the available additional appointment slots on a "first-come first-served" basis. There is no guarantee that the appointment offered would be earlier than the original appointment. If a CSEP opts for the appointment offered by the Booking Office, the original appointment will be cancelled. If a CSEP declines the alternate appointment offered by the Booking Office, the original appointment will remain unchanged. The One-stop Booking Office is located at Main Reception (CSEP Designated Hatch), Department of Radiology and Imaging, 1/F, Block H, Queen Elizabeth Hospital, 30 Gascoigne Road, Kowloon. Telephone 2958-5711. Office hours: Monday to Friday; 9 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm. The office closes on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays.
