Chief Inspector (CIP) Andy Naylor of Criminal Intelligence Bureau has been honoured with the title of Student of Merit for his outstanding performance in attending the Australian Federal Police's National Strategic Intelligence Course in Canberra in November last year.

Taking the course along with CIP Naylor were 16 Australian officers and one officer each from Israel, Papua New Guinea and Malaysia. As the Student of Merit, CIP Naylor has received a scholarship from the Charles Sturt University, which co-organised the course with the Australian Federal Police College.

CIP Naylor said: "It was a very demanding and intensive course but a fantastic opportunity to forge friendships and contacts with overseas law enforcement officers working in criminal intelligence."

CIP Naylor will study for a Master of Arts degree in Criminal Intelligence with Charles Sturt University later this year.
