Over 100 non-ethnic Chinese (NEC) Junior Police Call (JPC) members from four schools in Yuen Long - Hong Kong Poinsettia Primary School, UMAH International Primary School, Cumberland Presbyterian Church Yao Dao Secondary School and Bethel High School - recently put their creativity to good use in a kite design competition held on a green field in Tin Shui Wai by Yuen Long District as a measure to steer NEC youngsters away from drugs. Coming from Pakistan, Nepal, India, Indonesia, Britain and the Philippines, the NEC youngsters had a lot of fun in designing and flying their own kites, all of which also carried anti-drug messages. After the competition, they had more fun at a barbecue. Yuen Long District Fight Crime Committee member, Mr Shafi Mohammad, and JPC Honorary President Council Chairman, Mr Bar Chun-chow, lent support to the competition by officiating at the opening ceremony with Yuen Long District Commander Kenneth Li.
