Mountain marathon draws 118 teams

The Police Adventure Club's 33rd Mountain Marathon Competition successfully took place at Sai Kung between January 9 and 10, with 118 teams taking part in various categories, and Kowloon East Regional Commander Suen Kwai-leung starting off the event.

The competition took the form of orienteering for teams each comprising two members. Bringing along camping gear, cooking and other hiking equipment, each team got through all checkpoints and camped at Chek Keng for one night, completing around 46 km in two days.

Presenting trophies to the winners, Deputy Commissioner (Operations) Yam Tat-wing praised all competitors for their unswerving determination, and encouraged Force members to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Open Champion 1st Runner-up: PC Chung Kam-ming and retired PC Chan Kwong-ming


2nd Runner-up: WSGT Ho Kit-ying and SGT Sin Chun-kwong


3rd Runner-up: PC Chan Yip-sang and SGT Wong Pui-kai

Senior Champion 1st Runner-up: SGT Lau Chak-chung and SPC Choi Fu-loi


2nd Runner-up: SGT So Kwok-ki and retired SGT Lai Wah-kwan


3rd Runner-up: SGT Lai Kim-chung and SGT Tsang Tin-chu

Ladies Champion 1st Runner-up: WSGT Ho Siu-mei and WPC Tam Yan-ling


2nd Runner-up: WPC Lui Lai-han and WPC Chan Lap-yin

Experience Champion 1st Runner-up: SGT Lee Kin-ming and PC Lam Kam-chi


2nd Runner-up: PC Ao Ka-leung and PC Wong Long-fung


3rd Runner-up: SGT Wong Yuen-ming and WPC Chow Pui-shan
