At the seminar, representatives from provinces and cities shared their experiences of preparation and execution of major security screening operations, including those for the 10th National Games of the People's Republic of China and the Harbin 24th Winter Universiade. The representatives also visited exhibition on new security screening equipment developed by major manufacturers on the Mainland, and attended briefings on the developments of new techniques and equipment.

Members of the Force Delegation also took the opportunity to give a presentation on the development of security screening and searching of the Force, and to share the experience in the preparation for and execution of the security screening and searching for the 2009 East Asian Games.

The units represented at the seminar included those from the Public Security Bureau, such as the departments responsible for law and order, anti-terrorism, security and forensics, as well as the Chinese People's Public Security University, the People's Liberation Army's University of Science and Technology, and other public security units of over 20 other provinces and cities. The Macao Police was also represented at the seminar.

During their three-day exchange with their Mainland counterparts, the three officers were impressed with Mainland's up-to-date techniques for security screening and searching. They also appreciated that as a result of the staging of international conferences and major sporting events, the Mainland now remains at the forefront in Asia in the field of security screening and searching.

The Force Search Unit members will continue to liaise and coordinate with their Mainland counterparts in the fields of training and professional accreditation of security screening and searching capabilities, with a view to further elevating professional standards of both sides.
