Thanks to the support and input by frontline officers, the Living-the-Values video-clip competition supporting the theme of Wave VII, "Professionalism in the Changing World", has come to a successful conclusion, promoting staff involvement, empowerment and communication.

Owing to very close competition, two second runners-up have been awarded. The results of final adjudication by the Force Committee on Service Quality are as follows:

Champion: "Father's Diary" by New Territories North Quick Reaction Force (QRF NTN).

1st Runner-up: "Professionalism" by Police Tactical Unit B4, Kowloon City District and Yau Ma Tei Division.

2nd Runner-up: "I gained because I lost" by Marine Region and Wan Chai Division, as well as "No Take Two in Professionalism" by New Territories North Emergency Unit.

In addition, there are four Merit Awards for teams from Tin Shui Wai Division, Kowloon West (various units), Hung Hom Division and Tsuen Wan District.

The presentation ceremony for the awardees will be jointly held with Service Quality Wing's Service Quality Award presentation ceremony.

Members of the Force Committee on Service Quality were deeply impressed by the participating teams' exceptional efforts and sincerity in producing video-clips of such a high standard, especially the Champion team, and identified both the Champion and the 1st Runner-up videos appropriate for incorporation into the Workshop training package. The Champion 'Father's Diary' can give the audience an insight into how officers can empower themselves by strengthening their belief and efforts in overcoming difficulties they face in living-the-values in their everyday work, and accepting that ' I can make a difference'!

Police Constable Li Lit-fai, coordinator of the Champion team from QRF NTN, said the victory of his team was the most wonderful Chinese New Year gift for all team members. "As frontline officers, we were very delighted to have an opportunity to contribute to the Living-the-Values Workshops. The production process of our entry was difficult and challenging, during which we had a lot of discussion, sharing and self-reflection. We strengthened our belief and efforts in living-the-values, and really felt 'the more difficult it is, the more professional we are'," he noted.

The first runner-up team has made a great effort for its entry
