In line with their college's efforts to enhance professional training and promote computerised self-learning, a team of officers of the Police College, headed by Chief Drill and Musketry Inspector Tse Ping-leung, has designed an "e-Learning foot drill package" that illustrates a total of 26 different drill movements. Users of the e-Learning package may see each of the drill movements in the angle and slow playback of their choice, not only for a better grasp of the main points, but also making the entire learning process more interesting. Another feature of the package is an interactive "Question-and-Answer" session that was designed and produced in conjunction with the Police College's Learning Technologies Division, providing users another learning modality. This e-Learning package provides not only an additional learning platform for recruits of the Police College, but also refresher training for officers about to join the Police Tactical Unit or those participating in ceremonial events. Interested officers can access the system via: Knowledge Management > Learning Portal > e-Learning (HKPF) > Police College Courses > Foot Drill Training. The Police College is committed to developing into a first class police-training institute. In future, it will offer more online training in foot drill and ceremonial related matters in order to provide quality service to every member of the Force. |
