Force video wins international recognition

A video produced by the Police College, "Asia's Finest" has won the 2009/10 Mercury Awards organised by the US-based MerComm Awards Inc.

The two-minute video is produced for the former College Director, Dr Albert Cheuk, to promote the image of the Force at the 2009 INTERPOL Training Symposium in Canada. The video showcases the distinctive East-meets-West culture and the vibrant life in Hong Kong. The video also shows the Force is a professional, caring and dynamic organisation.

Over 760 entries from 21 countries competed for the 2009/10 Mercury Awards. "Asia's Finest" entered the 2009/10 Mercury Award under the category of "DVD/Video: Promotional/Documentary". It outperformed the rest and clinched the Bronze Award.

The Mercury Awards has been organised by MerComm Awards Inc for over 24 years to honour the outstanding achievement in public relations and corporate communications. The past awardees included the most prestigious public and private organisations from around the world, including US Army, Fedex, Korean Tourism Organisation, and Bank of China (HK).
